Meet Gary – Director of Instruction
Gary’s passion for golf began at a young age while caddying at Alpine Country Club in Demarest, NJ. It was there that he discovered the joy of helping others improve their game—something that would shape his entire career. After graduating from the Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach, SC, Gary accepted a position as Assistant Golf Professional at Montammy Golf Club in Alpine, NJ. There, he taught private lessons and led junior golf clinics, building the foundation for what would become a career dedicated to instruction.
His teaching experience quickly expanded beyond the club. Gary began running after-school golf programs across elementary and middle schools throughout New Jersey, and has also worked with several local high school teams—coaching players both individually and in team settings.
A skilled player himself, Gary grew up in Washington Township and played for Westwood High School, where he placed 4th in the Dan Luciano County Tournament. He continued his competitive career at Bergen Community College, helping lead his team to a regional championship and a 7th place finish at the JUCO National Championship. While studying at the Golf Academy of America, Gary sharpened both his playing ability and technical knowledge, earning a degree in Golf Complex Management and a certification in club repair.
Today, Gary is the Director of Instruction at Go Low Golf, offering most of his lessons at the Go Low Indoor Golf facility in Paramus, NJ. He also provides on-course playing lessons, in-home sessions, and virtual coaching for students outside the area. Whether you’re a beginner or a competitive player, Gary is committed to helping you improve—and enjoy—the great game of golf.
